Important!
River Riddles have Rules.
1. Don’t Tell Anyone the Answers.
If someone wants to know the answer, they can figure it out. By telling someone the answer outright, you deny them the satisfaction of ever solving the riddle. Also, you deny yourself of the opportunity to tease them mercilessly.
2. Cooperation is Cool.
Working together is a great idea. When working alone it is easy to get stuck in a rut, trapped by your assumptions. Also, some of these riddles are intended to be heard, not read. So listen while someone else reads them aloud.
3. Clues are Cool.
Solving these riddles without help is possible, however, some of them are quite hard. When I tell them to people in person I usually let them ask “yes or no” questions, but that’s not an option here. Instead I have made drawings, which should help, indirectly.
